Andy graduated from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at the Cobequid Education Center in Truro, Nova Scotia. He has an extensive list of volunteer activities in his community, varied working experience and has received numerous awards and certificates, and still finds time for sports. Andy has been described by his teachers and coaches as “being a quiet leader”, “caring, kind and a genuinely good person”, “very appreciative of everything done for him”, “the complete package – academic, athletic and a good citizen and role model”. He will be attending Acadia University, to attain a Bachelor of Science – Kinesiology, degree. He plans on becoming a physiotherapist.

Jessica is currently enrolled in the Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Political Science, International Relations at the Université Laval. Jessica has a unique and impressive background rich of numerous cultural, linguistic and musical experiences, athletic and academic successes, and numerous community involvements both in Canada and abroad in Europe and South America. She has excelled in every endeavour and her many accomplishments were awarded namely by the City of Toronto for her environmental project, as a ski monitor, member of the University of Toronto Mountain Bike Team, as a Canadian delegate to the National Model United Nation. Her peers, teachers and coaches alike admire Jessica for her positive attitude, team spirit, and determination. She intends to pursue he passion for International Affairs, namely as a lawyer or professor of International Studies.

Emily graduated from the academic program at Chatham-Kent Secondary School in Chatham, Ontario. She is a motivated, hardworking, responsible honour student. Her counsellor is appreciative on Emily’s willingness to give of her time to tutor other students, sometimes on short notice. She is involved in the community in a number of activities, including tutoring for the C-K Learning Disabilities Association. She also has won numerous awards. Besides her hobbies, and extra-curricular activities she still finds time to work at more than one job. Emily will be attending McMaster University in Hamilton, in their Bachelor of Health Sciences program. She intends to follow-up in medical school and wishes to return to her community as a family physician.

Jenna graduated from St. Walburg School in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan. Her Principal advised that she was a leader within the school both academically and in extra-curricular activities. Jenna has been on the honour roll for all high school and has won several prestigious athletic awards. While keeping up her marks at school, volunteering in the community, playing a number of sports, she has excelled in everything she puts her hands on. She is single minded in her pursuit of excellence. Jenna will be attending the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology where her studies will lead to her becoming a Dental Assistant.

Leanne graduated from Centennial High School in Calgary, Alberta. One of her teachers wrote that she became aware of Leanne’s immense community involvement and leadership abilities. She has balanced her school work, extra-curricular activities along with her volunteer community  work and her part time jobs while maintaining an average in the high 90’s. Leanne has received numerous awards for her academic achievements and has taken part in a U of T National Biology Competition as well as University of Waterloo Mathematics Competitions.  She will be attending the University of Alberta where she will work on a Bachelor of Science with a planned occupation of being an Orthodontist.

Justin graduated from Gleneagle Secondary School in Coquitlam, BC. He has been an active, avid member of Cadets for 5 years and has competed as a biathlon athlete which led to a gold medal in his zone. Consistently on the Honour Roll throughout his High School years, he demonstrates an admirable ability to maintain a balance of life. He is reliable and has a warm friendly manner and a sparkling sense of humour that makes him a joy to know. He has a number awards and certificates which recognize his achievements both at school and in the community at large. Justin will be studying at Simon Fraser University for a Bachelor of Arts degree. He plans to be a Psychologist.

Shivani graduated from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at Turner Fenton Secondary School in Brampton, Shivani Dadwal Ontario. She has been very active in numerous extra-curricular activities at school since 2005. Not only that, she has extensively volunteered in community events and programs and has participated six different unrelated sports. Shivani has attended numerous high level conferences in Toronto and has received a number of the Duke of Edinburgh’s awards and other significant awards. Her counsellor states, Shivani has demonstrated superior organizational, time management and leadership skills. She will be attending Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in the Bachelor of Science, Life Sciences (Honours) program and plans to become a cardiologist.

Shannon graduated from Heart Lake Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario. She is a highly capable and motivated young person and exudes great leadership skills. She has been able to pull together large school projects such as the set design for their theatre production, while maintaining high academic marks. Her extra-curricular endeavours, volunteer experience and awards all point to someone who is dedicated and hard working. Her time management is impeccable as she balanced a full work load becoming a Heart Lake Scholar but also an Ontario Scholar. Shannon will be attending Laurentian University in Sudbury seeking a degree in Education (Honours). She plans on being an English and French High School Teacher.

Hayley graduated from Assumption College School in the Brant Haldimand Norfolk CSSB system. One of the most outstanding students I have taught said one of her teachers. She is so diverse in her talents, extra-curricular work and community involvement that I’m reluctant to “tell all” in the event you may think I am embellishing. Rest assured, I am not. Another said she is a true scholar and a life long learner. Her honours and awards came year after year. Her volunteer interests were never ending as she did the Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, acted in the Paris Cobblestone Festival, helped with the Lions’ Club activities and was excelled in figure skating. Hayley will be attending Huron University College at Western, in London, Ontario where she will be studying Media, Information and Technoculture. She plans on being a Broadcast Journalist.
